School’s Out is the McGaw YMCA afterschool program serving K-5 students enrolled in District 65 schools.
The program is more than just “babysitting.” Trained staff are actively involved in running planned activities for the kids, including active, physical play, creative arts, a game room, quiet activities and reading, computer time, library time, and swimming. The curriculum complements that of D65 and includes arts and humanities, character development, health & wellness, homework support, literacy, science & technology, service learning, social competence and conflict resolution.
School’s Out includes transportation from all D65 school’s. It’s available for 3 or 5 days a week until 6:15 pm. Enroll in the Holidays program for full-day programming on school holidays and District half-days.
If you are interested at all, please contact the Children’s Center immediately. More information and registration forms are available here.
