Development Manager – Child Care Center of Evanston

Position Summary:
A new position for the Child Care Center of Evanston, the Director of Development Services will work with the Executive Director, leadership team, staff and advisory board members to review existing fundraising programs, develop a strategy to increase revenue and oversee this strategy in the future.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute a strategy for increasing and sustaining a large base of annual individual donors
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with existing major donors
  • Manage database administration, report programming, gift processing and records maintenance
  • Track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising
  • Identify, apply and track grants from research foundations, corporate and community groups
  • Work with the Finance & Fundraising Committees to establish and reach annual goals
  • Participate in board development with particular emphasis on fundraising techniques and attracting new members
  • Assist with all fundraising campaigns including the Annual Appeal and Spring Benefit


  • BA Degree
  • 3-5 years experience
  • Proficiency with Gift Works or other database program and MS Office Suite
  • Familiarity with local non-profit and educational landscape
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
