The Mitchell Museum of The American Indian announces its fall activities for families this September- December. Families can stop by the museum on Saturdays and Sundays to make a Native American inspired craft. They are free with regular admission.
Mitchell Museum staff and volunteers lead kids DIY projects to make simple versions of traditional Native American items including Northwest Coast Masks, Dream Catchers, Lakota Star Quilts and more. Kid’s crafts are offered Saturdays 11:00 am-noon and Sundays 12:30-1:30 pm. During the month of December, families can choose from three craft activities each weekend that make great gifts. The museum will also host school’s out DIY all day craft days during Winter Break.

Kid’s craft activities are recommended for children ages 5 and up, but there is no minimum age requirement. Participants must be accompanied by an adult. No pre-registration is necessary.
The Mitchell Museum is one of only a handful of museums in the country that focuses exclusively on the art, history and culture of American Indian and First Nation peoples throughout the United States and Canada.
