We are piloting a new after-school arts program based on best practices. It is designed to meet the needs of your family after school and when school is closed on all In-service and Institute Days (no program on holidays Nov.26-28; Dec. 24-25; Jan 1, 20), while it allows kids to explore creativity and innovation in our inspiring arts studio as part of a lively arts community resource.
Time and space will be set aside for homework completion, then kids move on to theme-based arts activities drawn from our very popular Arts Camp programs. Activities may include drama, visual arts, sound and music, and movement. Students participating in Noyes Cultural Arts programs such as Evanston Children’s Choir, Piven Theatre Workshop and The Actors Gymnasium classes will be escorted to class and then later picked up and brought back to the After-school Studio.
On early-dismissal days and school days off, there are theme-based activities planned that can range from historical immersion, dressing up, guest artists and special arts field trips.
Children registered for this program may use our Evanston Recreation Division bus service from District #65 schools to the center for an additional fee per month per student (no bus service on holidays and school breaks).
