Saturday, October 11, Willard School will host its annual Fall Fest. The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the school grounds at 2700 Hurd Ave. Children and their families can enjoy favorite Fall Fest attractions, including bounce houses, a mechanical bull ride, human bowling with bubble balls, sports, face painting, a cakewalk, crafts, a ropes course, food and prizes. Fall Fest will be held rain or shine, and events will take place inside the school in the event of inclement weather. All District 65 families and community members are invited to attend.
Attend Washington Elementary’s biggest fall event, the annual Fall Fest on Sat. Oct. 11th, 11am-3pm. This outdoor festival is free and open to the public and attracts hundreds of families from Washington as well as others from around the area. Enjoy live music, food and dozens of fun activities for the whole family. The Fall Fest helps raise money for Washington PTA sponsored events and scholarships that directly support student activities and enrichment.
Highlights include pony rides, a petting zoo, moon walk, haunted house, carnival games, arts and crafts, food, drinks and more. While the festival is free, tickets are required for some activities. Tickets are $.50 each and prices vary per activity.
Fall Fiesta is just around the corner! On Saturday, October 11 from 11am-1pm, join Dewey School friends and enjoy Latino dancers and music as you indulge in a tamale and horchata tasting. Grab a costume
at the costume swap and bring old ones to share. Kids will paint free miniature pumpkins and you can buy carving, decorative and novelty pumpkins for the season!
