Care Kits for the Homeless

Evanston COPE 1/2 Day Kids’ Service Project

There are so many everyday accessories and toiletries we take for granted – toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant- that many people in our community can’t afford to buy. By donating even the smallest items to those who don’t have them, we will be providing someone with a greater sense of self-worth.

Come with a sack lunch and your kids and help Evanston COPE promote giving. On Wednesday, March 11 at 12:30 P.M. we will be making care kits filled with toiletries and snacks at Willard School (2700 Hurd). The kits will then be delivered to the Hospitality Center for the Homeless. Space is limited so please click this link to RSVP as soon as possible.

We need donations of thick winter socks, gallon-size baggies, deodorant, bandages, lip balm, combs, toothbrushes and travel size tooth paste, shampoo and lotion. Donations can be left with your school social worker(s) or at 1711 Harrison on the porch. Please bring your donation in by Monday, March 9th.
