Family Nights

Evanston Public Library will host five, fun Family Nights for parents and their children during the month of June. These programs provide an entertaining, screen-free evening of library activities, combined with the opportunity to check out books and sign-up for the Library’s Read to the Rhythm Summer Reading Program.

Preschool Dance Party,  Wednesday, June 3, 6:30pm; Community Meeting Room, Main Library.  Bring your family to dance their sillies out! Old favorites (the hokey pokey) and new dances; all ages welcome.

Family Lego Night, Wednesday June 10th, 7:00pm; Community Meeting Room, Main Library. Bring your family to make a LEGO musical instrument or anything else that has rhythm! For grades K – 5 only.

Family Jammie Time, Thursday June 18 at 7:00pm, Main Children’s Room, Main Library.  Children ages 2 – 9 wear their jammies for a fun mix of stories and songs!

Mother-Daughter Craft Night, Tuesday, June 23 at 7:00pm; Children’s First Floor Conference Room, Main Library Bring your daughter to make a beautiful craft together! Each child signed up should be accompanied by an adult. Grades 2nd – 6th; Registration is required for this event.

The Young and the Restless, Monday, June 29 at 6:30pm, Barbara Friedberg Storytelling Room, Main Library. An evening version of our popular drop in storytime & sing-a-long for infants, 1 and 2 year olds. Siblings, parents and grandparents welcome. Ages 0 – 2.
