YWCA Stand Against Racism – Fri. April 29


The YWCA Evanston/North Shore is excited to invite your organization to join us at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2016 for our fifth year participating in the national YWCA Stand Against Racism! Last year you were joined by over 50 schools, places of worship, businesses and organizations around the North Shore to raise awareness that racism still exists in our community and that it can no longer be ignored or tolerated.

The event attracts over 300,000 individuals nationally each year with 10,000 in Evanston and Skokie, and we are growing.

To register:

  1. Go to standagainstracism.org and select “register your stand” and then “sign up now”
  2. Fill in the information about your organization
  3. You will be asked if you have a “working relationship with a local YWCA association” Be sure to select “yes” and type in YWCA Evanston/North Shore
  4. Contact Special Events and Communications Coordinator Ariel DeLaRosa atadelarosa@ywcae-ns.org to receive additional materials and information about our public Stand in Evanston and Skokie.
