2016 Summer Reading Program at Evanston Public Library: Read for the Win!

June 1-July 31 at all EPL Locationsalt

Everyone is invited to Read for the Win! starting June 1. All Evanston kids, teens, and adults can read books, play games, attend library events, enter raffles and earn prizes all summer long. Join us at all library locations and in our parks and summer camps for fun events, award-winning authors, Ted Talk screenings, storytimes, book recommendations, and fun MakerKids stem activities. Registration opens for all ages starting June 1. Register online or in person at any library location.  Check out the Summer Reading Guide (pdf) online or pick up a paper copy at any location.

While these Summer Reading programs are free to all participants, additional support is needed to help expand the program, including a new book lending project with Evanston Parks and Recreation and Ridgeville Camps to keep kids reading this summer.  Contributions can be made online. Our program partners include the City of Evanston Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, and Ridgeville Park Distirct with participation by Evanston Cradle to Career and the Evanston Public Library Friends. Help keep kids reading this summer. We can all model reading and grow a healthy community of readers and lifelong learners. Reading just five books over the summer can prevent summer learning loss.
