STEM Camps at Oakton Community College

Evanston youngsters, ages 8-14, are eligible to sign up for science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) camps at Oakton Community College’s Skokie and Des Plaines campuses this summer.

One-week courses are available from June to August, offered by Oakton’s Alliance for Lifelong Learning, in collaboration with the Center for Promoting STEM.

June camps involve topics such as making LEGO films, creating 3D video games and models, and designing Minecraft characters and buildings.

In July and August, offerings center around robotics. Students will have the opportunity to design their own robots, test their creations in competitions, and visit a robotics company.

Courses range from $123 – $300. Early bird enrollment is available for some courses if registered by Monday, June 6.

Registration information is available on the university’s website.
