College Boot Camp is designed for high school graduates and young adults transitioning into a college setting. In this 3-hour program, participants learn such things as campus life, how to connect with peers, how to decode a syllabus, how to set healthy boundaries and navigate difficult conversations with roommates, and how to access resources. One of our aims is to enhance participants’ self-advocacy, time management, organizational and communication skills. Participants also become aware of the dangers of substance abuse on college campuses (particularly the abuse of Amphetamines, such as Adderall and Ritalin) and dating/partying safety.
