Free “Access to Fishing” youth program (sponsored by the Department of Natural Resources). This program is a great way to introduce children age 5 & up to the “catch-and-release” process. Equipment, bait and fishing expertise are provided. Drop by every Saturday, May through September, from 10am-1pm, at Lovelace Park (Gross Point Rd. at Thayer St.). - On Saturday, July 9, come to Lovelace Park for the very first youth fishing derby at Lovelace Pond! We will be holding the derby in conjunction with our weekly free access to fishing program. We will have a limited amount of poles and bait available for those that need them.
