FYI: Orientation is 10-11 am and also 7-8 pm that same date.
We’re getting ready to kick off another year of Great Lakes education!
This fall, over 700 District 65 6th grade students will take a closer look at our precious resource, the Great Lakes watershed: where water goes, what pollutes it and why this matters. We are looking for community volunteers to join students, teachers and Pipes and Precipitation partners at upcoming field trips to Evanston beaches to study the land and water.
We are holding an Orientation to fill in volunteers on all you will need know to be a confident guide on the field trips. Orientation is REALLY important since our time with students is brief–but memorable–! At that Orientation, you will have the opportunity to sign up for the field trip(s) that best fits your schedule. Trips will take place on weekday mornings in late September and early/mid October.
