Rotary Peace Festival – Sept. 23-25


To encourage a more peaceable city, the Rotary Club of Evanston will bring together varied groups to exchange ideas and encourage sustained action during a weekend-long Peace Festival Sept. 23-25 in Evanston:

Friday, Sept 23: Young Professionals: “Peace: What You Can Do”
5:30 – 8:00 pm., One Rotary Center, 1560 Sherman Ave.

Saturday, Sept. 24: Sports Enthusiasts: “Rotary Day at Northwestern”
11:00 am – 2:00 pm: Tours of One Rotary Center, 1560 Sherman Ave.
6:30 pm:  Kickoff at Ryan Field

Sunday, Sept. 25: Family Peace Festival: “A More Peaceful Evanston”
12:00 – 4:00 pm., Rotary Friendship Garden at McCormick Blvd. & Bridge St.

Evanston organizations – including downtown businesses, Northwestern Athletics and numerous community groups such as Restorative Justice Evanston, the YWCA, and Moran Center – will participate throughout the three-day Peace Festival.
