Evanston Dance Ensemble presents
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Josephine Louis Theater, 20 Arts Circle Drive
When the Evanston Dance Ensemble (EDE) first premiered its original story ballet adaptation of C.S. Lewis’s classic novel, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in 2005, EDE founder and artistic director Béa Rashid referred to the show as “our alternative to The Nutcracker.” Much like that famous ballet, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe has become EDE’s signature holiday performance, drawing audiences from throughout the Chicagoland area. With dancing snowflakes, leaping fauns, waltzing flowers, and animals prancing out a holiday polka, the production is a holiday feast for the whole family.

The “little sibling” to the Evanston Children’s Theatre, Tater Tot Theatre Company was created to allow young thespians ages 5-7 the opportunity to participate in the magic of live theatre. This year we will be revisiting an adaptation of the classic Little Red Hen… Part II; the moralistic story teaching that you are rewarded for the work that you put in. This adaptation of the original adds plenty of sly humor, dance and song to the well-loved story.
We are all very excited about Tater Tot Theatre in Evanston. For more information contact us at 847-866-5914 or visit www.fjtheatre.com.
