Future of Education Discussion at ETHS – Jan. 23

A panel discussion on the ways in which schools such as ETHS can lead the way in forging fresh connections between academic rigor, diversity and inclusive learning to prepare students for a multiracial, global world will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. in the Upstairs Theatre at Evanston Township High School.

The panel will bring together some of Northwestern University’s world-class researchers from various education-related fields, including (from left): David Figlio (moderator), Anthony Chen (sociology), Mesmin Destin (psychology), Kirabo Jackson (economics), Kemi Jonah (STEM – science, technology, engineering, mathematics), and Jenn Richeson (psychology).

This event is free and open to the public. Evanston Township High School is located at 1600 Dodge Avenue, Evanston, IL. D65 Technology Town Hall – Jan. 9 & 10

Evanston/Skokie School District 65 is in the process of updating its three-year technology plan (expires June 2013) and wants to hear ideas about the instructional and administrative technology that supports student achievement, state accountability, community values, and District needs.

Parents, guardians, community members, students, faculty, staff, administrators, local technology experts, curious onlookers, school board members, family, friends, neighbors, business professionals.
